RECYCLO-SEP®

RECYCLO-SEP®

Take the “Waste” Out of Waste Water With a RECYCLO-SEP® Recycler.

The RECYCLO-SEP® is a fully automatic wastewater recycling unit that processes dirty water created by cleaning equipment into water clean enough to be reused. The process flow rates are 6 GPM for the RECYCLO-SEP®.

Model 2000 and 12 GPM for the RECYCLO-SEP Model 2800.

The RECYCLO-SEP® has been proven especially effective in removing oils, grease, heavy metals, solids and other contaminants from water used in conjunction with pressure washers, steam cleaners or similar equipment. The system maintains a proper pH balance so that the recycled water may be safely reused. The RECYCLO-SEP® separator eliminates pollution problems by taking the waste out of waste water through recycling and reuse. The waste residue is reduced to a small, easily disposable semi-dry cake.

The principal system components consist of four vertically skid mounted tanks equipped with a feed pump, process pump, cartridge filter, three metering pumps, and associated valves and controls. The four processing tanks include the first stage tank, the flocculate tank, in which the majority of oil and solids are removed from the wastewater influent. The second stage, the separator tank, continued separation of remaining residual oils and solids. The third stage, the surge tank, provides a supply of clarified water for operation of the process pump. The fourth stage, the storage tank, stores the clean, processed water ready to be reused.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Provides easy and cost effective environmental regulations compliance
  • Prevents pollution from waste water discharge by converting existing open-loop operations into environmentally safe closed-loop systems
  • A simple, economical and reliable process for producing clean reusable water
  • Eliminates the need and cost of discharging waste water into a sewer and avoids the expense of transporting large volumes of liquid waste to a hazardous dump site
  • Saves water and reduces monthly water fees
  • Proven performance with state-of-the-art technology
  • Skid mounted for easy installation and operation
  • Enhances water conservation

Process Air Gas Silencers

Process Air Gas Silencers

Typically utilized for rotary blades or centrifugal blowers, Wakefield Acoustics offers a wide range of custom-designed process air or gas silencers. Each silencer is cost-effectively designed to meet the most demanding of customer noise specifications.

We offer several type of absorptive silencer construction dependent on application and structural requirements, from light gauge welded construction through to heavy plate welded construction.

INDUSTRIAL SILENCER
Dependent upon the level of acoustic performance required silencers can be designed with an absorptive outer layer, thus not presenting additional pressure onto the system. Where a high level of noise reduction is required, a central acoustic pod would normally be installed.

Given the high heat levels which can sometimes be generated in process air and gas lines, the silencers would normally be treated with a heat-resistant paint finish after fabrication.

Wakefield Acoustics is able to undertake pressure testing of silencers to ensure compliance with project requirements.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Central absorptive pod for improved attenuation
  • Aerodynamic cones and hemi-spherical end caps to reduce pressure loss

Packed Bed Spray Nozzle (Spray Nozzles for Wet Packed Bed Scrubbers)

Packed Bed Spray Nozzle (Spray Nozzles for Wet Packed Bed Scrubbers)

Choosing the Best Spray Nozzle

A properly designed Wet Scrubber removes a variety of air contaminants. Wet Packed Bed Scrubbers remove air contaminants and impurities by washing the airstream with a water liquid. Air contaminants are removed by the scrubbing liquid by impaction, reaction with a chemical solution or absorbed into the liquid. Air contaminants and the scrubbing liquid come into contact with other in the packed section of a wet scrubber filled with a high efficiency packing. Spray nozzles will spray small droplets and evenly introduce the scrubbing liquid above the packed bed section, which then flows down through the packing to the bottom of the scrubber sump. A mist eliminator section located above the spray nozzles removes liquid entrained in the cleaned exhaust airstream prior to entering the atmosphere.

Spray nozzles are selected at the lowest possible operating pressure to produce a uniform spray pattern with larger rather than smaller droplets. Any liquid particles that become airborne but do not wet the packing surface defeats the purpose of a scrubber. The function of the spray nozzle is to distribute liquid over the packing, not to test the operation of the mist eliminator. While the mist eliminator will capture the larger airborne droplets, agglomerate them and eventually drain back down to the packing, we do not want 80% of the liquid volume heading to the mist eliminator but instead onto the packing area. Selecting a spray nozzle with a larger particle size without creating a significant amount of smaller droplets than can become airborne and operating at lower operating pressure would be a better choice. In general, spiral spray nozzles should be avoided.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Several common spray nozzle types are candidates for use in a wet packed bed scrubber:

  • Spiral spray also nozzles (TF and TFXP), also called pigtail nozzles producing a round spray pattern
  • Full cone clog resistant nozzles (MP) giving medium to course droplet size
  • Full cone whirl nozzles (SC and NC) with course atomization, available in round and square spray patterns
