Rolling Mill Fume Exhaust PPS/DBF

Rolling Mill Fume Exhaust PPS/DBF

High Efficiency to Meet Stringent Regulations

The CECO Busch PPS/DBF were developed specifically to meet the increasingly stringent PM 2.5 environmental regulations and opacity control. PPS/DBF systems are especially well suited for Sendzimir-type Rolling Mill/Steel Cold Rolling Mills applications.

The quantity and particle size of liquid mist generated from rolling mills are a function of many variables, including coolant type, coolant flow rate, metal temperature, strip speeds, and saturation dew point. Rolling Mills have several mist generation mechanisms such as hydraulic pressure sprays and surface boiling followed by condensation. For this reason, the size and character of liquid particulate vary regularly.

A multiplicity of coolants and rolling methods mandate the use of multiple stages to achieve the lowest maintenance and highest possible collection efficiency. The PPS/DBF unit employs cleanable media, disposable media, or a combination of both. The PPS/DBF system is primarily used in Sendzimir Rolling Mill applications.

The PPS/DBF eliminator mechanically removes and drains liquid particulate using several mechanisms. Mists are removed by inertial impaction, direct interception, and Brownian capture depending on the droplet diameter and liquid density. The PPS/DBF unit provides removal of liquid particulate down to 0.3 microns.  The PPS/DBF mist eliminator offers maximum collection efficiency and the lowest opacity.

Reverse Osmosis Treatment

Reverse Osmosis Treatment

In the reverse osmosis membrane, the natural osmosis effect must be reversed; this can be achieved by overcoming the osmotic pressure. To force the feed water to flow towards the permeate water stream, the feed water must be pressurized at an operating pressure more significant than the osmotic pressure. As a result, the feed water is separated into two streams, permeate water (Low Salinity) and Brine Stream (High Salinity).

The System is mainly consisting of pretreatment, chemical dosing stations, membrane modules and a high-pressure pump. Membrane working pressure depends on the feed water quality and can reach 60 bar in the case of seawater.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Due to the spiral wound membrane, the system becomes very compact and require minimal footprint
  • Salt rejection can reach 99.7%
  • Can be delivered in containers
  • RO is standardized equipment for standard requirements, customized packages also available to meet performance guarantees and specification
  • Modular design, easy to expand and maintain
  • Produces safe potable water according to WHO
CECO Environmental

APPLICATIONS

  • Nano Membrane: widely used for water softening for potable and process applications
  • Reverse Osmosis Membrane: used for brackish and seawater desalination for potable and process applications
  • Sulphate Removal Membrane: used for sulfate removal from seawater for injection water applications
  • Reverse Osmosis Membrane: used as tertiary treatment for wastewater recycling for process (boiler, cooling) water applications

Remineralization

Remineralization

The remineralization process can be achieved by adding diluted calcium hydroxide. The prepared solution is filtered through a cartridge filter to ensure a clean solution free of calcium carbonate and other insoluble impurities before getting mixed with potable water. The filtered solution will be mixed with potable water according to predetermined quantity using a dosing pump or a standard centrifugal pump depending on the flow rate.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Reduce pipe network corrosion due to alkalized pH
  • Balance the potable water pH value will improve the human body’s immune system
  • Improve potable water taste

RECYCLO-SEP®

RECYCLO-SEP®

Take the “Waste” Out of Waste Water With a RECYCLO-SEP® Recycler.

The RECYCLO-SEP® is a fully automatic wastewater recycling unit that processes dirty water created by cleaning equipment into water clean enough to be reused. The process flow rates are 6 GPM for the RECYCLO-SEP®.

Model 2000 and 12 GPM for the RECYCLO-SEP Model 2800.

The RECYCLO-SEP® has been proven especially effective in removing oils, grease, heavy metals, solids and other contaminants from water used in conjunction with pressure washers, steam cleaners or similar equipment. The system maintains a proper pH balance so that the recycled water may be safely reused. The RECYCLO-SEP® separator eliminates pollution problems by taking the waste out of waste water through recycling and reuse. The waste residue is reduced to a small, easily disposable semi-dry cake.

The principal system components consist of four vertically skid mounted tanks equipped with a feed pump, process pump, cartridge filter, three metering pumps, and associated valves and controls. The four processing tanks include the first stage tank, the flocculate tank, in which the majority of oil and solids are removed from the wastewater influent. The second stage, the separator tank, continued separation of remaining residual oils and solids. The third stage, the surge tank, provides a supply of clarified water for operation of the process pump. The fourth stage, the storage tank, stores the clean, processed water ready to be reused.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Provides easy and cost effective environmental regulations compliance
  • Prevents pollution from waste water discharge by converting existing open-loop operations into environmentally safe closed-loop systems
  • A simple, economical and reliable process for producing clean reusable water
  • Eliminates the need and cost of discharging waste water into a sewer and avoids the expense of transporting large volumes of liquid waste to a hazardous dump site
  • Saves water and reduces monthly water fees
  • Proven performance with state-of-the-art technology
  • Skid mounted for easy installation and operation
  • Enhances water conservation

Process Air Gas Silencers

Process Air Gas Silencers

Typically utilized for rotary blades or centrifugal blowers, Wakefield Acoustics offers a wide range of custom-designed process air or gas silencers. Each silencer is cost-effectively designed to meet the most demanding of customer noise specifications.

We offer several type of absorptive silencer construction dependent on application and structural requirements, from light gauge welded construction through to heavy plate welded construction.

INDUSTRIAL SILENCER
Dependent upon the level of acoustic performance required silencers can be designed with an absorptive outer layer, thus not presenting additional pressure onto the system. Where a high level of noise reduction is required, a central acoustic pod would normally be installed.

Given the high heat levels which can sometimes be generated in process air and gas lines, the silencers would normally be treated with a heat-resistant paint finish after fabrication.

Wakefield Acoustics is able to undertake pressure testing of silencers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
