FUME COLLECTION TECHNOLOGIES AND AIR QUALITY SYSTEMS
Busch designs and builds air-handling equipment and systems for filtering, cooling, heating, and capture of emissions from metals industry applications.
We employ experienced engineering staff in aerodynamic, thermodynamic, mechanical, civil and electrical disciplines. Our expert personnel are utilized entirely to support our air system's work, ensuring the most efficient and reliable product design. Areas of expertise include Rolling Mill Fume Exhaust, in addition to gas adsorption systems, thermal destruction for VOC control, Pickle Line Fume Exhaust, Jet* Star Strip Cooling and Drying, Coil Cooling Systems, and specialized systems for DC Drive Motor Cooling.
Edward Busch founded the company in 1947 as a sales representative company, selling diffusers out of the trunk of his car. Just over a decade later, after settling in Pittsburgh, PA, Busch began supplying industrial ventilation and air control systems. The company continued to grow rapidly over the next several decades, before joining the CECO Environmental team in 1997. It has since continued to expand its reach across the globe, providing customers in the metals industry with a multitude of air handling technologies and services.
In addition to a complete line of engineering, precision-manufactured products, Busch provides a wide range of special services – including conceptual studies, application engineering, field services and system start-up.

Rolling Mills have several mist generation mechanisms such as hydraulic pressure sprays and surface boiling followed by condensation. For this reason, the size and character of liquid particulate vary greatly.
The primary metals manufacturing industry includes iron & steel production as well as aluminum production.
For the iron and steel industry, a variety of clean air solutions are required for capturing, conveying, and collecting emissions from steel rolling mills, including fume exhaust, ventilation and process cooling systems. The iron & steel industry also requires technologies for product recovery, along with dampers and expansion joints, and pumps and valves.
For aluminum production, a variety of clean air solutions are required for capturing, conveying, and collecting emissions from aluminum rolling mills, including fume exhaust, ventilation and process cooling systems. The aluminum industry also requires technologies for product recovery, dampers and expansion joints, and pumps and valves.
