OUR INDUSTRIAL CYCLONES AND VENTURI SCRUBBERS KEEP THE EARTH CLEAN

Fisher-Klosterman is a global leader in severe service particulate filtration for high temperature, high pressure, and abrasive/corrosive environments.

Fisher-Klosterman has supplied particulate filtration for many industries’ most challenging applications since the 1940s and our success is predicated on our unparalleled experience, engineering excellence and commitment to quality control.

In 1947, Fisher and Klosterman was founded in Louisville, KY to fabricate sheet metal. The company eventually expanded to include the building of collection equipment. In the 1960s, it also began to develop cyclone and scrubber technologies.

By the 1980s, through extensive research and development, Fisher-Klosterman designed a new, high efficiency XQ Cyclone model which eliminated the need for a baghouse – the primary industrial cyclone design that is still being used today. At the same time, a new and improved version of the venturi scrubber was developed. Fisher-Klosterman then purchased the Buell company which was well known in the refinery industry for FCC cyclones and fluid bed applications.

In 2008, CECO Environmental purchased Fisher-Klosterman and in the early 2010s, CECO also purchased Emtrol, a competitor of Buell, itself a respected and experienced provider of fluid beds, FCC Cyclones, venturi scrubbers, dynamic fan scrubbers, and trade scrubbers. Emtrol’s FCC cyclones and the Buell division were combined within CECO and are now marketed as Emtrol-Buell.

The Fisher-Klosterman product line includes high-efficiency to ultra-high-efficiency industrial cyclones and venturi scrubbers, and our expertise includes handling the most severe process conditions, such as high temperature, high pressure, and erosive particulate and corrosive gases. In addition, we can design for explosion venting/containment and provide complete engineered systems.

Our experienced engineering team can provide ASME design for “U” stamped pressure vessels and troubleshooting services to our clients, including evaluation and upgrades of existing equipment supplied by other companies. If you have a complicated or challenging air filtration project, Fisher-Klosterman has the experience and resources to meet your need.

Building Products

Building materials manufacturing is the processing of any material used for construction purposes. Many naturally occurring substances, such as clay, rocks, sand, and wood – even twigs and leaves – have been used to construct buildings. Apart from naturally occurring materials, many man-made products are in use, some more and some less synthetic. The manufacturing of building materials is an established industry in many countries and the use of these materials is typically segmented into specific specialty trades, such as carpentry, insulation, plumbing, and roofing work. CECO Environmental can provide solutions for building materials manufacturing industry in the wood, concrete, glass, gypsum, and other product segments. These businesses require proven emission control solutions, including mist elimination and odor abatement.
