Case History - Paper & Printing

In the paper and printing industries, the most common use of Kirk & Blum systems is in the pneumatic collecting and conveying of paper scrap and trim directly from the presses and trimmers to the automatic balers, effecting dramatic savings in manpower to accomplish this purpose.
This system is continuously collecting the trim from a five knife trimmer.
A battery of two paper trim and scrap handling collectors. Collectors are mounted on structural supports over baler room and storage room. Note diverter valves which permit trim waste to be diverted to storage room. Diverters also provide a means of paper classification for scrap resale at a more advantageous price.
