CECO ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES
NEW $9.0 MILLION CONTRACT

CINCINNATI, OHIO, December 2, 2009 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NasdaqGM: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems, announced today that it has secured a new contract valued at approximately $9.0 million. The contract is from a long standing customer in the power industry.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, said, “This contract is a very significant project win for CECO. It was secured by one of the companies in our equipment group and is a testament to the great team we have at CECO.”

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, “This new contract is the largest that we have secured this year. We are also very pleased that it is coming from the power industry which has been a new business source for us starting three years ago and continues to be an important part of our growth. We are excited with the prospects for our business going into 2010 and beyond.”
