TWO NEW ORDERS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY $2.9 MILLION

ONE ORDER IS FOR A FACILITY PRODUCING
RENEWABLE ENERGY FROM BIOMASS

CINCINNATI, OHIO, July 7, 2009 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NasdaqGM: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems, announced today that it has received two new orders totaling approximately $2.9 million.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, “Both of these orders were secured by companies in our equipment group. One is for a customer in the refining industry. The other is for a customer producing renewable energy from biomass.”

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, “We are particularly pleased with the order from the renewable energy facility. CECO possesses the expertise and technology to remove particulate matter from high temperature gas streams. This type of equipment is very applicable to renewable energy projects.”
