CECO ENVIRONMENTAL RECEIVES TWO REFINERY ORDERS
VALUED AT OVER $1.5 MILLION

ONE ORDER IS FOR EQUIPMENT TO BE SHIPPED TO A FACILITY
IN THE MID-EAST

CINCINNATI, OHIO, April 30, 2009 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NasdaqGM: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems, announced today that it has received two new orders from the refinery industry totaling approximately $1.5 million.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, “These orders were secured by a company in our equipment group. The refinery industry continues to be a significant source of business for us.”

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, “One of the orders is for equipment that will be shipped to the Middle East. We continue to secure international business. Approximately 20% of our backlog now involves orders for equipment for facilities outside of the United States.”
