CECO ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES
    SIGNIFICANT NEW ORDERS TOTALING $12.5 MILLION
    YEAR TO DATE BOOKINGS IN EXCESS OF $87 MILLION

NEW YORK, August 15, 2006 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems announced today that it has received a number of significant new orders. Its CECO Abatement subsidiary has received orders totaling $7.5 million for regenerative thermal oxidizers for both the ethanol and waste treatment industries. Its H.M. White division has received two orders totaling $2.5 million for ventilation equipment for a steel making facility and for energy management at an automotive facility. Six other orders, totaling $2.5 million, were secured by Kirk & Blum, CECO Filters and Busch International. These projects were secured from the power generation, automotive, food processing, glass, foundry and steel industries.

President Rick Blum stated, “The bookings by H.M. White, especially the energy management work, are especially gratifying. H.M. White is already adding to our bottom line and we see its performance improving as we go forward. We see energy management as a field with growing opportunity.”

Chairman and CEO Phillip DeZwirek commented, “Bookings for the year are now over $87 million. At the end of July, we were $34 million ahead of last year’s pace. Bookings so far in August have already exceeded bookings for the entire month of August 2005.”
