CECO ENVIRONMENTAL RECEIVES ORDER FOR $800,000

    NEW BOOKINGS NOW AT $48.4 MILLION

NEW YORK, May 15, 2006 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems announced today that its new H.M. White subsidiary has received an order for approximately $800,000 to provide ventilation equipment for an automotive facility.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "We continue to be pleased with the performance of H.M. White. They are having a positive impact both on our top line and bottom line results."

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and CEO of CECO stated, "Our new bookings for April were in excess of $13 million. New bookings for the year now stand at $48.4 million. This is $22 million more than at this point last year. Most importantly, this increase has not come from just one large contract but from a large number of significant contracts spread over all aspects of our business."
