CECO ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES
APPROXIMATELY $4.2 MILLION IN NEW ORDERS

NEW YORK, April 25, 2006 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems announced today that it has secured approximately $4.2 million in new orders. One, valued at approximately $1.7 million, is for dust collection equipment for a melting equipment manufacturer. Another, valued at approximately $550,000, is for a gypsum manufacturing facility. CECO's new H.M. White subsidiary secured two orders totaling approximately $600,000 for energy management work and ventilation equipment at automotive facilities. The others, totaling $1.35 million, go onto the automotive, food processing, glass, printing, ethanol, building materials, and pharmaceutical industries.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "The largest order was secured by our Kirk & Blum subsidiary after initial studies and design work done by our kbd/Technic subsidiary. It is an example of our ability to solve customer's environmental problems from initial studies all the way to a turn-key solution."

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and CEO of CECO stated, "The wide range of industries in this new group of orders demonstrates CECO's broad base of knowledge and expertise. We believe that no other company in our field has such a diversified customer base. We are also pleased with the continuing success of our new H.M. White subsidiary in securing new business."
