CECO ENVIRONMENTAL RECEIVES $900,000 IN NEW ORDERS
INCLUDING MIST COLLECTION EQUIPMENT FOR NORTH AMERICA
AND FILTERS FOR A MINING COMPANY IN INDIA

NEW YORK, March 24, 2006 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems announced today that it has received two (2) orders totaling approximately $900,000 for coolant mist collection equipment from an automotive manufacturing facility in the southeastern United States and for equipment for an eastern concrete manufacturer. CECO also received a 'breakthrough' order for fiber bed filters to be manufactured and sold by it's Indian subsidiary.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "Our Kirk & Blum subsidiary received the mist collection contract. We are pleased that the project uses fiber bed mist collection technology that is being provided by our CECO Filters subsidiary. This technology has gained wide acceptance among the 'transplant' auto manufacturers. We are able to provide our customers with much better air quality inside their facilities and exponentially longer filter life when compared to other equipment that is available."

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and CEO of CECO stated, "These orders are especially relevant to industry in general and the automotive industry in particular proving that CECO can provide cost effective superior solutions to create clean air facilities that comply with the recent Supreme Court decision on utilizing new state of the art equipment to upgrade and meet environmental standards."
