CECO ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES NEW ORDERS
    TOTALING APPROXIMATELY $2.4 MILLION

NEW YORK, March 16, 2006 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems announced today that it has received three new orders totaling approximately $2.4 million. The first order, which was secured by CECO's H.M. White subsidiary, is valued at approximately $1.5 million and is for spray booth equipment for a manufacturer in the Midwest. The second order, received by CECO's Kirk & Blum subsidiary, is valued at approximately $500,000 and is for equipment for a chemical manufacturing facility in the Southeast. The third order, which was secured by CECO's CECO Abatement subsidiary, is valued at approximately $400,000 and is going to a manufacturing facility in the Midwest.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "We are especially pleased at the performance thus far of H.M. White. H.M. White adds new capabilities to our company and also adds entrees into new markets which we intend to take full advantage of."
