CECO ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES
    NEW ORDERS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY $4.75 MILLION
BOOKINGS NEAR DOUBLE

NEW YORK, March 07, 2006 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE), a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems announced today that it has received five (5) new orders totaling approximately $4.75 million.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "These orders come from a diverse group of industries. One order for $1.8 million is for pollution control equipment for a midwestern manufacturing facility. Two of the orders, totaling $1.7 million, are for equipment going to automotive manufacturing facilities in the southeast. One order for $1 million is for equipment going to a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in the southeast. The final order for $250,000 is for a foundry in the midwest."

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CECO, stated, "February bookings were $11.5 million, bringing our total for the first two months of the year to $25 million as compared to $12.9 million for the same period last year. This is a record start for CECO."
