CECO ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES
$5.5 MILLION IN NEW CONTRACTS
NEW YORK, January 19, 2006 - CECO
Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE),
a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation
systems announced today that it has received significant new contracts
totaling approximately $5.5 million. CECO's Kirk & Blum subsidiary
received orders totaling approximately $1.8 million for dust collection
equipment for a hazardous waste treatment facility, dust collection
equipment for a foundry, oil mist collection equipment for an automotive
facility, and equipment for an ethanol production facility.
CECO's CECO Filters subsidiary received an order for approximately $270,000
for filtration equipment from an agency of the United States Government.
CECO's Busch International subsidiary received contracts totaling
approximately $720,000 for a patented Jet Star* strip cooling system
from a steel mill in Canada and for a fume exhaust system for a steel
mill in the United States.
CECO's CECO Abatement subsidiary received orders totaling $2,700,000
for equipment to be provided to the ethanol industry.
Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "We feel that
CECO's ability to win orders from such a wide variety of industries is a
core strength of our company. We believe that no other company of our
type has such a diversified customer base."
Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CECO, stated,
"Sales activity continues to be strong. Our bookings for December were
$8.7 million and our bookings in the first two weeks of January were over
$6 million, as compared to under $3 million for the first two weeks of
January 2005."
