CECO ENVIRONMENTAL RECEIVES $3.3 MILLION IN
CONTRACTS FOR A NEW CHINESE METALS FACILITY

NEW YORK: December 01, 2005 - CECO Environmental Corp. (CECE: NASDAQ) , a leading provider of air pollution control and industrial ventilation systems announced today that it has received contracts totaling approximately $3.3 million for fume exhaust and other ventilation equipment for a major new metals facility in China.

Rick Blum, President and Chief Operating Officer, stated, "these contracts were received by our Busch International and Kirk & Blum subsidiaries. They worked together to offer our customer the right "package" of equipment and services available from no other single source."

Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and CEO of CECO, stated, "these orders for the Chinese facility is a major breakthrough for CECO. Combined with the success of CECO's new subsidiary in Chennai, India, this Chinese order establishes a foothold for CECO in the expanding Asian market."

Mr. DeZwirek also stated, that it was the "expertise and professionalism of our engineering and sales personnel which won this order and substantiates CECO's potential as an important player in the global air pollution market."

CECO also reported that November was the second consecutive month of booking $10 million in new orders.
