CECO ENVIRONMENTAL RECEIVES
NEW ORDERS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY $5 MILLION
NEW
YORK, October 17, 2005 - CECO
Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ:
CECE) announced today it has received orders of approximately $5
Million for a range of pollution control equipment and services.
The major order, which was received by CECO's CECO Abatement subsidiary,
totals approximately $3.2 million. The equipment will be manufactured by
CECO's Kirk & Blum subsidiary.
Rick Blum, CECO President and COO, stated that "The CECO Abatement/Kirk &
Blum affiliation brings great value to our customers. We are able to control
both the design and manufacturing process so as to provide our customers with
equipment that is robust, practically designed, efficient, and reliable."
Other significant orders included $350,000 for trim collection systems for
document destruction facilities, $200,000 for oil mist collection equipment,
$600,000 for maintenance work and equipment for two foundries, $300,000 for
dust collection at a power plant, and $350,000 for ventilation systems for
an insulation manufacturing facility.
Philip DeZwirek, Chairman and CEO of CECO Environmental stated that "CECO
continues to generate business from a wide variety of industries. We also
continue to book smaller projects on a continuing basis. Over one third
of CECO's sales are orders smaller than $50,000."
